Łukasz Budzisz
He showed an interest in fashion from an early age. Wanting to dress according to his own ideas, the young designer always stood on his own. His unconventional designs aroused the most extreme emotions - from unflattering glances to admiration.
Łukasz's first truancies were not escapes with his friends, but lonely trips to the corsetry workshop, where he watched the work of an excellent corsetter from Gdynia. It was she who introduced the young Budzisz to the world of lingerie, respect for the female body and the finest corsetry techniques. He therefore devoted most of his afternoons to developing his passion, at the machine, helping out, and then sewing his own sets of lingerie.
His youth spent in this way determined the next steps of his career. Shortly after his high school graduation, he turned his attention to the foreign fashion industry. With the knowledge he had gained previously, sewing and tailoring became a real art for him. His overseas experience began in London's West End. London - big shows, the most famous brands, models and designers. The designer knew exactly what he wanted and, despite his meagre livelihood, was prepared to make any sacrifice just to be able to peep at the best in the trade. He worked nights as a kitchen helper and on the famous „dishwasher” so that he could help out in the lingerie studios of his dreams for free during the day.
The hard work in London paid off for Luke when, after a while, he was offered a job in Italy. In Padua, he was a corset maker's helper and also created lingerie pieces himself.
The next stop in Luke's international career was Turkey. At the invitation of one of Turkey's more renowned tailors, he travelled to Istanbul to learn under the tutelage of the best in his craft. The corset maker spent 2 years of his life imbibing the Turkish love of fabrics and true classical tailoring. These canons nurtured him as a tailor, but also perpetuated his love of design. It was here that he realised that his knowledge could contribute to something great - to make women enjoy themselves and be proud of it.
The many years spent under the tutelage of foreign masters continued to whet Lukasz's appetite for more - his journey eventually took him to Nicosia. The Cypriot climate of tranquillity and harmony made the designer want to return to his homeland for the first time in his wanderings, so that he could start creating his own designs, already signed with his own brand, Bouduar, among the people he loves.
