How to hide it under clothes that reveal more than a classic blouse or dress? Women are looking for effective ways and are finding them with more and less success. Recently, taping, i.e. wrapping the body with special tapes and self-supporting bras, has been on their tongues (but also on their breasts). In response to the problem of deep necklines and large busts, bust taping has emerged. Have you tried it? Or are you wondering if it's worth it?
What is bust tape and how do you use it?
Bust tape is an adhesive tape that supports the breasts. It is most often made of cotton with the addition of elastane. This combination of materials allows a feeling of comfort to be maintained over a long period of time, even with intense movements during which the skin stretches. By design, bust tape should be waterproof, breathable and durable. Only such a one will serve its purpose.
Importantly, bust tape is very versatile. It can be adhered to the bust in such a way that it is completely invisible, even for very large necklines. There are many bonding techniques available, always tailored to the effect you want to achieve, and of course the styling. With the help of bust tape, the bust can be successfully lifted, rounded, optically enlarged or even reduced in size. Some women regard it as a non-invasive scalpel, as the shape and proportions of the breasts can be completely changed in a matter of moments.
Bust tape - more harm than good?
Bust taping has definitely caused a stir among women and many have already tried taping, but with very different results. There are those who recommend this option as an alternative to a self-supporting bra. Some, however, highlight the disadvantages of breast taping.
The bust tape is coated on one side with an adhesive, with good quality tapes it is an acrylic-free adhesive. However, its composition can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. It is recommended that an allergy test is carried out before taping. To do this, a small piece of tape is stuck to the skin in the chest area and left like this for about 24 hours. Not all women practice this. As a result, there are already many cases of skin irritation and allergic reactions, as our client has also experienced.
Another problem is the question of price. Professional taping costs approx. PLN 150-200. Most often a trial session is done and then the actual session, so the total can be as much as £ 400. Bust taping is only suitable for the waste bin after use. You will not use it again, so it is a short-lived, one-time effect.
How about a self-supporting bra?
Before there was bust tape, women sometimes wore a self-supporting bra with backless dresses and large necklines. Opinions on it are divided - some are delighted, others disappointed. The self-supporting bra has no straps and no fastening at the back. It is held in place by silicone pads. The problem, however, is comfort. In many cases A self-supporting bra does not last long; it slips and changes its position without providing proper breast support.
How did a backless body save a crisis situation?
An adventure with bust tape was experienced by one of our customers. She was looking for bridal lingerie, but due to her very large bust she could not find the right one. She decided to try taping. After a test session on her skin allergy has appeared. The wedding was already practically on the horizon, so she began a nervous search for an alternative to the failed taping. She wrote to Bouduar. A large bust, definitely out of our size range, a close wedding date and very difficult styling (front and side cleavage) - it was a big challenge. However, we made backless body bespoke, which perfectly matched the client's wedding styling. The lingerie accentuated the assets perfectly, remained invisible under the dress and provided very good support. The bodysuit for the backless dress will be used by the client many more times as a comfortable everyday body, unlike bust tapes, it is not a one-stop solution.

So is bust taping the inferior option? Not necessarily, because well, professionally performed taping can really model the bust beautifully. However, you have to bear in mind the allergy test and the price, which can be high if you consider the short-term effect.
