An uncomfortable bra under the arms - sound familiar? Well, we don't always get the perfect fit from our bras. Do you feel discomfort under your arms when wearing underwear? Underarm trimming in a bra will help you get rid of this problem. It's a multi-stage alteration that involves deepening the underarm cut.

Underarm trimming in a bra - what does it involve?

The underarm trim in a bra starts by cutting a piece of tunnel and elastic. Then mark the underarm line, usually 1-2 cm. Then move on to the underarm cut in the bra. Sew in the elastic and the oversized tunnels and insert the shorter underwires (if any).

Why does the bra poke under the armpits?

Wondering why your bra is poking under your armpits? There can be several reasons, e.g. the cup is too small or the underwire arch is too narrow. Some bra models are also too built-in, the sides come up practically under the armpit and then we feel unpleasant pinching and sometimes even pain. In such cases it is worth considering undercutting the armpit in the bra.
