Dresses with an open back

In the middle of summer, we eagerly explore our bodies to cool down a bit and to catch as much vitamin D as possible. In recent years the open back is an absolute summer highlight. They are taking not only summer resorts by storm, but also the streets of cities and towns across Poland. 

The growing popularity of companies that base their collections precisely on open-back models is also no surprise. One such company is The Odder Side. For our project #copodspod we chose a dress in a shade of red that can be worn every day or tried as an alternative to elegant dresses for special occasions.

Great for a casual cocktail party or as the main styling element on a romantic date. Wear it with a relaxed weekend look or to the office, or pair it with trainers for a casual afternoon. 

Underwear for a dress - open back bodysuit

Underwear with an open back is the challenge of every designer. How do you keep the bust in place and reveal the back at the same time? We leaned into this question a few years ago and so our Bouduar lingerie collection was born.

We are currently working on plus size open back underwear and new models that allow, among other things, our underwear to be worn to the dresses with deep cut-outs on the sides. 

All our projects are hand sewn at the studio in Gdynia, where we look at every fabric combination and sewing. Every day, designs ordered by you and tailored to your body come out from the hands of our corsetieres.

Bespoke underwear is, in our opinion, the future of this market. We no longer want standard sizes, the production of which does not even rub off on ethics. We are looking for solutions tailored to us, fulfilling specific functions, allowing us to reduce the amount of stuff around us in favour of quality.

Project #copodspod

The “What's underneath?” project is designed to show you Bouduar underwear in motion. When the pandemic broke out we faced a major communication problem. How to show and sell made-to-measure underwear online? 

It took us a lot of effort to create a whole system of communication with you, and the #copodspod series was just one part of it. In six films, we show different models of our underwear in motion. We juxtapose them with clothes from Polish fashion brands and prove that they are not just another set for a special occasion, but underwear ready for everyday wear.
